This is a special time of year for me. It’s the off season for weddings in this area, the holidays have just passed, we’re in a new year, and I finally have some time to think about and reflect on the previous year’s work.
2008 was a huge year for me. I photographed more weddings than previous years, shot in more unique venues, and most importantly worked with some of the most wonderful people I could imagine. Those wonderful people are why I do what I do. Documenting the most important day of their lives is an honor and a privilege, and I’m eternally grateful for that.
As a follow up to last year’s Best of 2007 slideshow (click here) I’m proud to present the Best of 2008! You can either view it below or click here for a larger version. It’s about 12 minutes long, so grab the popcorn and the tissues and enjoy!

Wow, what a retrospective! I just have to say how honored Christine and I are to be a part of your 2008 presentation. If anything, it truly is a showcase for your abnormally awesome photographic talent, and your ability to make every single moment of the day special and noteworthy. I think we get so caught up in the details of the day (since it’s happening to us!), that we miss some of those small, fringe aspects of the occasion that are so important to remember as well. And you are right there to capture them! Just remarkable. Much continued success to you in the new year, and thank you again for all of your hard work and dedication. You never cease to amaze! – Duane and Christine Romanell

Whoa. I am both enchanted and depressed at the same time, inspired and yet ashamed. I have a ways to go! But thanks for sharing so others can be cheered on by your talent!!

I totally cried. I loved it! It makes me even more excited than I already am to have you as our photographer for our wedding! Can’t wait! Only 191 days to go!
