This is my sister, Jill.
A few years ago, while in college and in her early twenties, Jill was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. She underwent chemo, surgery, radiation, and more chemo. All while in her final year of the rigorous biomedical engineering program at Rutgers. She’s always been tremendously stubborn and tenacious, and this time was no exception. She beat the cancer, and she graduated with honors. I’ve never been more impressed or proud of a single person in my life (don’t tell her I said that. I take my big brother fun-making duties seriously).
We took these pictures on Thanksgiving day for her application to the Colon Club’s annual Colondar. It’s a calendar of survivors.
We have a lot to be thankful for.
I recently had the honor of photographing Heather + Len’s wedding at the Nassau Inn in Princeton. Heather’s been a friend since my freshman year of college, so this was particularly special to me. As I’m sure you can see, she and Len are a tremendously happy and positive couple.

Earlier this month Neely + Leon got married on a stunning fall day at the Hyatt Penn’s Landing. It was such an amazing and interesting day – full of emotion, culture, history, and great people – that I’m still finding new moments every time I look at the photos.
