Coming back from vacation is always interesting. You are immediately transitioned from enjoying your time away to having to play catch up for the time you were gone. You come back on Sunday and next thing you know it’s Friday and you are just getting around to putting up a post about your vacation!

Last week Megan and I spent a week in the Outer Banks (Emerald Isle specifically) with 13 of our closest friends. We had a huge house right on the beach and basically did nothing except relax and hang out all week. It was great!

I did, however, finally come to terms with the fact that I’m not a beach person. I REALLY want to be one, but no matter what I do I just can’t get into it. I’m not good at doing nothing. Besides, humans have spent thousands of years devising ways to shield themselves from the sun and cool off, so aren’t I being disrespectful if I don’t take advantage of roofs and central air??? ;)

My non-beachiness aside, it really was great to spend time with all of our friends and their associated kids (there were 3 kids there).

I took a small break from shooting and it helped to recharge my creative batteries, but of course I just HAD to take some shots. Here are a few of my favorites..
